A Look Back on My SECOND Year of Blogging!

How has it already been 2 years since I started blogging? I guess time truly flies when you are having fun. I have really enjoyed every minute of blogging, every minute of connecting with all of you, and every minute of sharing all of the home things! Here’s a look back on my second year of blogging.

My Most Popular Blog Post

I’m actually kind of shocked by this one! With 20K page views, my most popular blog post from 2022 was 2 Pretty Ways to Fold Your Towels. Pinterest just loves this post! I don’t even know why I am surprised. It’s just funny because I randomly came up with the idea, found some cute ways to fold towels, and went with it. I didn’t expect this one to be a huge hit, but I love it! I really went through it trying to find some cute towels to write this post with. Can we just talk about that for a minute? I don’t know who is in charge of designing kitchen towels, but it’s so hard to find cute ones. I finally found these at Home Goods, but trust me when I say it was a full on search!

My Favorite Blog Post

Of course the Journey to Our Forever Home was my favorite blog post. This was such a huge milestone for us! We absolutely love it here.

We have so many more home projects and renovation ideas that I can’t wait to share with you! One big project that we’ve already done was our pool and deck, which you can check out HERE.

Once it warms up and stops raining, we will get back into some more projects. Turning this house into our home is going to be an on-going process through the next several years I’m sure, so make sure you subscribe to get all of the new updates!

The Funnest Blog Post

The How to Make a Chunky Hand-Knit Blanket was definitely one of my most fun blog posts. I love blankets, so this was right up my alley. I’m not going to lie though, it was a little stressful to make at first because I’m a slight perfectionist. Once I got the hang of it, it ended up being one of my favorites. These chunky blankets are so fun and so cute to add to your decor!

A Couple of Fun Facts

The fireplace makeover went viral on Facebook! People were absolutely up-in-arms about us tearing down our first attempt to start over. Funny the things people get so worked up over on the internet. I loved it though! It created such a stir that my blog page views sky rocketed. This helped me start my dream of blogging as an actual career! I will be forever grateful for that project and all the haters that came with it.

My sunroom blog post was actually made in 2021, but that was one of my favorites I’ve ever done! Recently I was contacted by Pioneer Woman asking if I was okay with my pictures being included in one of their articles. How amazing is that? I’m not sure if the article has come out or when it is set to do so, but just being contacted by them was a huge compliment!
