Dreamy Boho Inspired Sunroom Design

I can’t wait to share my dreamy boho inspired sunroom design, but first… Story time! Recently Pinterest reeled me in and made me buy this chair. Every time I went into Walmart they had it set up right in the middle of the isle. You know, so you don’t miss it. I always thought – gosh I want that, but I don’t need to spend the money. Of course every time I saw it on Pinterest I loved it more and more. Then it got to a point where I swear it showed up in my newsfeed so much that it was all I saw, so I just finally broke down and bought it!

Has that ever happened to you? Marketing at it’s finest. I’m now a proud owner of a huge egg chair from Walmart that I absolutely love. I put it in my sunroom and was finally inspired to finish it! This was the one room in my home I just didn’t know what to do with. It’s sat pretty much empty since we moved in over a year ago, but this one chair gave me the inspiration I needed to create the perfect space.

Sunroom Before

If I can give you one tip when it comes to decorating your home, it would be to find one thing that you absolutely love. Whether it’s a piece of furniture, art work, or pillow, use that one thing to design your room around. This can help you find a starting point and inspire you to finish a space that you love just as much as that one thing.

After – Dreamy boho inspired sunroom!

I went back and forth between this rug and another, but I’m loving how this distressed Persian rug from Target ties the whole room together. It has the perfect amount of color and design to add a little interest to the room. I’m super proud of how all of it turned out! I love my plants so much, so this room is such a happy space for me.

Save money and build your own furniture.

Originally I only meant to get two chairs, but while trying to decide which to go with I realized a third just really completed the room. I finally decided on this really pretty leather chair and a cane back chair for the opposite corner. Since I ended up with three chairs, I decided to make my own tables. You gotta save money where you can sometimes! + They were really fun and simple to make! If you want to see how I made my cute basket coffee table, check out that post HERE.

The little side table was also super easy to make! Check out my TikTok.

Lighting

Lighting is so important, and can make a huge impact to switch out. I knew I wanted to get rid of the flush mount light and replace it with something that went more with the space. I searched everywhere for the perfect rattan light and found THIS ONE, which I love! At night it casts such a pretty pattern all over the room.

The Details

It’s always the small details that really make a space your own. There are so many little things in my sunroom that I am completely obsessed with. Don’t be afraid to put your personality into your dΓ©cor, after all it is your space.

The other day I was randomly walking around Kohl’s and found this little plant section. They had such cute stuff! If you love plants as much as I do, you need to check it out. I found this amazing table book, Leaf Supply. Y’all have no idea how excited I was to find this little gem. It’s beautiful and is the perfect addition to my coffee table.

I also grabbed this crazy plant lady coffee cup, because why not right? It’s totally true, plus how cute are these little terrarium tools I put inside of it! This is what I’m talking about with the little personal touches.

In this corner I have a little print and plant above the chair. I came across this buffalo print while looking for boho dΓ©cor and had to get him. He’s perfect in here, and I love how it looks paired with my macramΓ© hanger. I bought my hanger a long time ago, but HERE is one that is similar. I just used a plant hook from Lowe’s to hang it. We have super tall ceilings, so this worked like a charm.

This last detail is my favorite! I found an amazing Turkish lamp, which is seriously worth every penny. This lamp is so beautiful, pictures truly don’t even do it justice. Highly recommend! I paired the lamp with some pompas grass and a couple of really pretty macramΓ© coasters.

My sunroom is now complete!

This was a big project, and one that I am so happy to finish! I finally have a dreamy boho inspired sunroom for all of my favorite plants to live and thrive. I will now enjoy my cup of coffee curled up in my egg chair, soaking up the morning sun, and enjoying all of my plant babies!

Hopefully this little transformation helped inspire you to create spaces in your own home that you love. What’s your favorite part of this room?

I really love how this room came together! My favorite surprise elements are the leather chairs and pillow you used to tie it all together with the natural elements and boho print rug. Beautiful, inviting, and oh so fun!
