Happy 2023! Little Life Update
I’m back! Happy New year to all of you! I hope you enjoyed your holiday season and got to spend plenty of time with all of your loved ones. Remember to soak up those moments when you can because life can be so incredibly short.
It’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted here or even on any of my social media accounts. Life has been a whirlwind lately. The holidays snuck up on me so fast. One minute it’s summer and the next it’s a whole new year! Isn’t that the way life goes sometimes?

The last few months I’ve been really struggling, I had to step back and allow myself to just take a break. This has been my longest break from my blog and man I miss it! I’m ready to get back at it, but first I just wanted to jump in here and share with you what we’ve been up to over the holidays.
This has been a strange winter. We are living in South Carolina, so winters here are pretty mild. We get a good amount of rain in the winter, but this year it has been non-stop! It’s been raining for months and months, and it’s really kind of depressing. Always gloomy and wet. We get super excited when the sun decides to peek out. I think this is part of the reason I am struggling. It’s hard to feel motivated when it’s always dark and gloomy! I’m counting the days down until summer for sure.
For Christmas this year we decided to surprise the kids with a trip to Universal Studios. Now that our kids are a little older we wanted to create family memories instead of giving gifts. It was such a fun trip! The kids enjoyed it so much and we all got some much needed sun. These last couple months for me have been full of spending quality time with my family and just taking a break from social media. I love social media, but sometimes it can become an all-consuming and toxic place. It’s been so refreshing to step back from it and give myself a break without feeling guilt about it. You should never feel guilty for taking a break from something to spend more time with your family.

I’d love to hear what you and your family did over the holidays! Let me know down in the comments!!
Now that it’s a new year, I’m ready to dive back in with some new content! My 2nd blogging anniversary is coming up and I can’t wait to share some of my favorite blog posts from over the years with you. I also have some really fun ideas and home projects on the list for 2023, so make sure you subscribe so you don’t miss out on any new content!

I just want you to know that Iβm so thankful youβve given yourself grace and stepped away. Iβm actually doing that myself right now also.
We went down to the beach the week of Christmas. Came back home to be at home for Christmas!
Sometimes you just have to!
