Fall Decor for the Front Porch
It’s September, which means fall is here. This time of the year is my favorite to decorate for! I usually always start with my front porch for a couple of reasons. One, it’s the first thing people see. Two, my summer flowers are usually always looking super rough right about now. (I actually have a fun tip to solve this problem, so keep reading!) Here is my fall decor for the front porch.

Details
First and foremost, I grabbed this cute little welcome mat from Hobby Lobby. I just love the subtle touch of fall the pumpkin adds! I always layer my door mats with another rug. This helps add some texture and gives the space more dimension. Once you collect a handful of rugs over the years, you can mix and match to change and update your space. Super easy way to refresh your entryway!

I’ve always seen these scented brooms but have never bought one. I’m happy to say I finally did! It’s so cute, and it brings the smell of fall right up to your front door. Highly recommend.

Faux Flower Tip
I always struggle with keeping outdoor plants on my porch. I’m embarrassed to admit how much money we’ve spent on plants each year to only keep them for a few months. I’ve used faux flowers in my planters before, and it’s honestly one of the best tips I have! The key is to find more realistic looking flowers and stick them in real dirt. If they look a little fake, oh well, at least they are thriving, and you don’t have to worry about keeping them alive.

The look all together!
I had a vision for this. In a perfect world, I would use bigger planters and real pumpkins. However, this is what I had on hand. I bought a few new things, but for the most part I wanted to try and use what I already had. I think it turned out really cute!

Fall Tree DIY
Right next to the front door I added this DIY fall tree. My front porch is actually really big, so this was the perfect touch to fill up the space. I love this DIY because it is made from a real tree from my backyard! Super easy and fun. You can go HERE if you want to learn how to create this fall tree yourself.

Dollar General Decor
I cannot believe the cute stuff I found at the dollar store! These two pillows were buy 1 get 1 free. They are so pretty, and I will probably even use them year-round. I think switching out the blanket will pull different colors out of the smaller one, so they could even work in winter and summer!

Next to the chair I added a little lantern, some flowers, and a plush pumpkin. All of these also came from the dollar store. I’m telling you, don’t knock the dollar stores, sometimes you can find some really good things and save yourself some money!

A couple other touches!
I always love hanging little signs on the siding using a siding clip. It just adds a little more interest to your space.

This wreath I’ve had for a few years now. I still definitely love it, but I do think it looks better on a darker door. In our previous home, the door was a darkish brown and it looked so much better. You can check it out HERE. We have a ton of home projects we want to get done around here. Painting our front door and our porch are on our list of to-dos!

Last, but not least, a cute little pumpkin patch pillow.

That’s a wrap on my fall decor for the front porch! Let me know which detail was your favorite.
