How to Fulfill All Your Pantry Goals

When I first started organizing my entire house, I knew the pantry was going to be towards the top of my list. Next to our fridge, this is the most used space in our home. I’ve been working on perfecting our pantry for the last couple of months, and I’m super excited to share it with y’all. Maybe this will give you some inspiration to fulfill all of your own pantry goals!

There are so many ways you can organize your pantry. Head over to my shop page to see all the organizing options! You can even go to your local Dollar Tree and use their bins, that’s actually what I’ve done for years. This time though, I wanted to do things a little different. Since our pantry is one of the most used spaces in our home, I wanted to make it look really pretty! Now I’m going to be honest with you, it wasn’t the cheapest endeavor.

Pro Tip: Don’t buy everything at one time. Collect things here and there, when you can. Like I said above, I’ve been working on this pantry organization for the last couple of months, and that is the exact reason why.

The first thing I did before I even started my shopping to fulfill my own pantry goals, was decided which storage bins I wanted to incorporate into my organization. I knew going with wicker baskets was the more expensive option, but I personally felt like it was worth it. That being said I didn’t want to totally go broke buying all the wicker baskets, so I decided to incorporate some acrylic bins I had left over from my fridge organization. Since I was also using the airtight containers that were acrylic, I felt like this would tie everything together.

I am super happy with how it turned out. It was a little challenging because I have wire shelves. Honestly if I didn’t have the bars running down getting in the way of everything, I would have used more of the bigger wicker baskets, but you have to work with what you got. One day we will replace those shelves!

Now let me share all the deets!
Wicker baskets.

I picked up these wicker baskets here and there from places like TJ Maxx and Home Goods. These are such good places to find baskets and bins, but honestly they are a little hit and miss. You never know what you’ll find in stores like those, which really is the true fun in them, right?! I’ll link a few options that I also love from Amazon! If you’ve read my Beautiful Organizational Items post, you know I’ve shared these before.

I just think these wicker baskets are so pretty! I love that they bring a little color and warmth to my pantry space, and also make it feel more put together.

Airtight Containers.

These are the best purchase I made for my pantry and will probably add more! I don’t know about you, but it drives me nuts when I walk into my pantry and see a slightly open bag or box of food. This completely eliminates that. Now my kids can grab a snack, and easily close it the right way. Since it’s an airtight container, we no longer worry about stale food! The best and an absolute must have to fulfill your pantry goals.

Candy Jars.

These are my favorite! My family and I have started doing a “movie night” every Saturday, so we obviously need some candy for that. These little candy jars are the perfect size, have sealed lids, and come with labels. Such a cute addition to my pantry shelves!

Metal Baskets.

I randomly ran into these shopping one day and had to grab them. I thought they would be perfect for fruit and potatoes! Of course I think they would look way better on a wood shelf, but I bought most of this stuff keeping in mind a future upgrade.

Acrylic Bins.

These are so good for canned goods and soups! I used these drink holders for all of my canned fruits and veggies. There is one for each category, so it stays nice and simple. I could have probably grabbed another for the soups, but I had an extra acrylic bin from my fridge organization so I decided to use that. I also used another acrylic bin for our Mexican type foods. We also have “Taco Tuesday” every week, so we eat a lot of Mexican around here!

Glass Jars.

Now I got these next two items at TJ Maxx, again just something I randomly found. I will say, that is the beauty of taking your time organizing a space. You can always keep it in the back of your mind while you are out and about shopping. These jars work so well for my baking goods and the big jars with the flour and sugar actually match my little candy jars perfectly! I’ll link some similar items for you.

Stackable Storage Bins.

The corners of my pantry are so awkward and I kind of hate them, but I came up with a simple, inexpensive solution for now. I came across these little stackable storage bins and they are just perfect for boxed foods and little seasoning packets! You can’t tell in this picture, but I actually have another set right behind this one with some Hamburger helper.

Turn Table.

Here is another example of how I dealt with the awkward corner space. I grabbed this one so long ago, I don’t really remember where it came from. I linked the turn table I use in my fridge, and honestly I like that one way better than this one!

Canvas Bins.

I needed something on the floor to hold all of our extra water, soda, and paper goods. I searched high and low for something and finally settled on these canvas bins. In the future I might replace them with wicker baskets if I ever stumble upon ones that are the right size, but these work!

Overflow.

Unfortunately I don’t have the link to this amazing basket. If I ever find something like this again I’ll make sure to add it to my shop page! I’ve tried to find more, but I just haven’t been able to yet. Something to keep in mind while organizing your pantry is your overflow. With everything having only a certain amount of space, you are bound to have some extra. This is where I store mine! It works so perfectly.

The last little touch!

I’ve had this chalkboard lying around for about forever now, so I figured it was time to put it to use! It fits so well in this little empty space and totally completes my pantry. At some point I might paint it a fun color, or sand and stain it. What do you think? Let me know in the comments!
