Super Easy Spring/Summer Front Porch Refresh

Springtime is the best. I just love seeing all of the plants and flowers finally come back to life! Springtime also means refreshing your outdoor spaces. This is one of my favorite things to do. Taking a space that has most of it’s components already, but just needs a little life put back into it! Here are some tips on how to do a super easy Spring/Summer front porch refresh.

Super Easy Spring/Summer Front Porch Refresh - before

Have you ever heard people say that they have staple pieces of clothing in their closet that they just add to or mix to create outfits?! Same goes for your home and porch. Find a few really nice staple pieces that you can add to for whatever season you are in. Here are mine!

Chair and Table

I got this chair last year for Mother’s Day at Target. I love this chair so much, I really wish I had room for two! The little metal table I got at the same time from Lowe’s. Unfortunately I can’t find either one now, so I will link some similar items for you.

If you have the room I would highly recommend adding a chair, a set of chairs, or a bench with some sort of small table. This combo is awesome to switch things out as the seasons change. I love changing out my pillows and always have something cute sitting on my table!

Flower Box

My amazing husband built this flower box, which gave us the idea to do the same on our back patio. Check out my flower box with privacy wall post HERE. This thing is my absolute favorite! It fits this space like a glove and makes such a statement up on my porch.

Flower Planters

I actually just got these flower planters and they match our flower box perfectly! I’m extremely excited to have these. I can’t wait to put some fun plants in them for Fall and Winter. I think this addition really completes my porch staple pieces.

Front Door Mat

Find a door mat that you really love! For me it was this one that says ‘hello’. I’ve had this doormat for years now and have no plans on getting rid of it anytime soon. Mine is from World Market, but I linked a similar one on Amazon. After you find your staple mat, just layer it on top of another rug. This is so cute and allows you to switch it up for different looks. I’m obsessed with leopard, so of course I had to grab this leopard rug when I found it!

The little details!

I love switching out the pillows on this chair to add a touch of the season or to just make a statement! I just found this really cute flower pillow. Technically it’s not an outdoor pillow, but it’s under a covered porch so I’m not worried about it. I picked this one out because it’s colorful but subtle at the same time, which I am all about.

This table is so fun to decorate! This time I just put some little faux plants on it. I can’t put any real plants here because the sun doesn’t always get to this spot, but these turned out super cute. I think they work really well with the colors in the pillow, plus the pop of green in front of the stone catches your eye as you walk up to the door.

Fun lanterns are such an easy way to fill up space! Mix and match different kinds to give more interest. These two don’t match perfectly, but they do complement each other well. Since the rattan chair is on the other side of the door, I wanted to add some wood tones on this side to balance everything out.

We added these little guys to our flower bed and they are so pretty! It can get super windy up here by our porch, so I’m hoping they will be okay. We are constantly changing these flowers out because of that. Wish them luck!

The Last Touch

The last detail to complete this porch refresh is this super cute welcome sign. Seriously such an awesome find. It adds a fun touch, plus it’s 100% true! I love how it totally completes this little corner. Don’t be afraid to hang something on your siding to complete a space. I just used a siding hook and some command strips.

The Final Look

I’m really excited about how this porch refresh turned out. Now it looks cute from the road and all of my delivery people will get to enjoy it when they come to give me packages/groceries. Anyone else feel me on that?

Every time I finish a space, this house feels more and more like our home! That’s what it is really all about. Find things that give you joy and truly create a space that you love!
