5 Fall Décor Ideas For Your Home You’ll Totally Love

Adding little touches of seasonal décor is the perfect way to give your home a refresh! Fall is coming up and it’s one of my favorite seasons. I mean, who doesn’t love this time of year? I recently went to Hobby Lobby and picked up some things to share with you. They had a bunch of fall décor, all for 40% off! I think it’s one of the best places to go for seasonal décor. If you haven’t checked them out yet, go do it! There website actually has even more than what I saw in store. I’m so excited to share 5 fall décor ideas for your home that I think you’ll totally love. Plus I have a couple bonus tips if you stick around and read till the end!

1. Use a blanket ladder and swap out your blankets.

My husband made this amazing blanket ladder for me a few years ago, which I absolutely love. He even made the bottom rung into a plant shelf. The man knows me well! I’m obsessed with blankets, so it’s a natural thing to swap my blankets out every season. Literally one of the easiest ways to add a little seasonal touch to your space. I hung a few fall colored blankets, put a pumpkin on the plant shelf, and added a cute pumpkin patch pillow to my chair. This simple change has made my living room so cozy and fall-like!

2. Add some fall touches into your current décor.

You don’t have to change all of your décor just for a specific season or holiday. It’s a lot of work and can get overwhelming to put up and take down every year. Plus think about the amount of space it takes to store. I personally think you should give yourself a certain amount of space to store seasonal décor. This helps to not only keep seasonal décor minimal, it also helps you pick and choose quality pieces that you really LOVE. Instead of hanging onto and collecting it all. Now instead of switching everything out, use those quality seasonal pieces to compliment the décor you already have.

3. Make a space for seasonal syrups by your coffee.

What’s one of the first things you think of when you think about fall? Did pumpkin spice come to mind!? I am all for all the yummy fall coffee drinks! Adding some seasonal syrups to your coffee bar or near your coffee pot is the prefect way to give you all the fall vibes. To do this, I used a really pretty leaf shaped tray then added the syrups with some ceramic measuring spoons. To tie it all together I added a pumpkin spice sign, a small white pumpkin (check out #5 to see why I use more neutral colors with pops of color), and a cute coffee cup with some fall foliage. Tell me, are you team Pumpkin Spice, Salted Caramel, or both?

4. Create a fun table setting for guests.

I found this ridiculously cute mini charcuterie board and had to grab it. Imagine all the possibilities with this thing! Charcuterie boards are really big right now, so creating table settings where each person gets their own little board is such a fun idea. I used a jute placemat, with a white plate, and solid colored napkin. I thought about using a fall patterned napkin, but I didn’t want it to look too busy with the cheese board. Keep that in mind when picking out your napkins. I then added some fall foliage on the side, a chalk board name tag, and some small cheeses on the board. You can really decorate the board however you’d like! Be creative, but remember it is a small space. This place setting makes a big statement when your guests come over and is super easy and fun to create.

5. Use a tray to decorate your island or counter tops.

This tray is actually a cake stand, but these types of trays are perfect to display your décor on your island or counter top. All of this is from Hobby Lobby, so you could easily recreate it! A big tip I have for seasonal décor is to stay somewhat neutral with it, while still adding in a splash of color here and there. Just make sure you’re not using too much of whatever color you choose. Here you can see I didn’t just use orange, I made sure to add in a little sage green. This helps to elevate your décor and keep it from looking too gaudy. Unless you are into that type of look, which is totally fine! Everyone has their different styles.

I grabbed this pumpkin spice scented sachet for basically a dollar. First off, this little guy smells amazing! Second, it’s such a good deal. Just grab yourself some mesh wedding bags to separate the smelly stuff, then place them anywhere you want to give off that amazing fall smell. Put them in drawers, closets, bathrooms, cars, literally anywhere!
