The Best Fall DIY Decor Idea

Fall time is the best time and so fun to decorate for. I have a whole blog post coming soon to share all of my front porch decor, but first a fun little DIY. Don’t you just love when you come across an idea, bring it to life, and it ends up being one of your favorite things!? This fall tree is honestly one of the best fall DIY decor ideas I’ve seen this year, and I can’t wait to share it with you.

Confession

I change my mind a lot when it comes to decorating. I will really like one thing one year but pull it out the next wondering what I was even thinking. Especially when it comes to fall decor. Do you do the same? Unfortunately, I do not have the budget to buy all new decor each year, so I’m always trying to find inexpensive ways to mix in some new decor with the old. A really simple way to do this is with some DIY projects. I’m not the craftiest person out there, so trust when I say anyone can do this one!

How To

We live on 2 acres, so I just went to the woods in my back yard and grabbed a random tree that had fallen down. Then I used a glue gun to attach some fall leaves sporadically on the branches to create a fall tree look. That’s it!

I would suggest using cement mix and a small bucket or planter to keep the tree upright. I didn’t have cement, so I used some paver rocks and tied the tree on to each side of the basket with some twine. Then I just wrapped a blanket up around the tree to hide it all. Hey, whatever works right!?

We have a big pretty porch, so when it comes to decorating, it can be hard to fill up the space without spending a lot. This tree really added a lot to it with little effort and it cost me almost nothing. I just love this idea because it’s so easy and it’s super customizable! If you have a smaller porch, you can just grab a smaller tree branch. You can also take the leaves off after fall and customize it to the different seasons. I can’t wait to share what I’m going to do with it for Halloween!
