How to Easily Organize Your Pots & Pans
Ah, pots and pans. We all know how much room they take up and what a pain they can be. Especially when you have kids who put the dishes away. Our cabinet was getting pretty beat up, so I set out to find a way to fix it. Do you struggle with yours too? Here is how you can easily organize your pots and pans so you don’t have to struggle anymore!
The before:

Listen, I know this looks bad. I told you, we were struggling! This cabinet is pretty big. I think that might partly be why things just get thrown in with no care. Now the bottom of our cabinet is all scratched up and is starting to get ruined. That doesn’t make me a very happy Mama, since we just moved in a year and a half ago. Lesson learned, always add a cabinet liner!

I headed to Amazon to search for a solution to this problem. Luckily I only really needed a few things!
First up, Cabinet Liner.
Like I was just saying, cabinet liner is KEY to this project. Don’t be like me and get your cabinet all scratched up, or if you already have… Hide it!

First off, I really like this color! It’s the perfect light grey. It wasn’t quite wide enough cover my entire cabinet, but I just cut off another small piece to stick in the back. You honestly can’t even tell I did that, since the pot organizer is in front. I’m super happy with it! The only thing I will say, is that this liner only grips onto the bottom of the cabinet. It doesn’t actually stick, so I’m hoping it stays as we use the cabinet on the daily.
Next, I ordered a rack for my pots and pans.
Since my cabinet is big, I decided to go with this vertical organizer. I looked at a bunch of different ones, but I really liked the idea of this one the best. I’m thinking it’s the easiest way for us to get our pans in and out, while still keeping everything organized. I really tried to keep my kids in mind while picking this out. It’s pretty straight forward and should be easy for them to use!

This organizer is really simple to put together. The racks are adjustable to fit the size of your pots, which I love! You just squeeze each rack together a little and stick them right into the little slots on the side of the middle piece. The other thing I liked about this organizer is that you can use it three different ways. Depending on what you need and how much space you have. You can use it the way it’s pictured above, with all the racks on one side, or with that center piece laying down. If you need a visual, make sure you check out the link above!
Last, I ordered this pot lid organizer.
I was really hoping I could use my current lid holder, but it just wouldn’t fit. While looking for the organizer I measured everything, but didn’t take into consideration how much extra space the pans would take up on the sides. So make sure you do. Again, I took to Amazon and ordered this lid organizer. I liked this one because I could put it up against the wall or on the cabinet door!

With the pot organizer to one side of my cabinet, this fit really well on the other side wall. I could have just stored the lids with my pots but I don’t use them very often, so this works perfect for me!
Here’s the after!

So much better and such an easy way to organize your pots and pans! I’m excited to finally have this space organized because it was driving me crazy every time I cooked. Now the kids can easily slide the pan into place while doing dishes. The only thing I’m wondering is how often each pan won’t end up on the right rack. Guess we will see!
